Clean Up Brent

Since 2010, the Labour Councillors in Brent have cut street cleaning, removed litter bins from local streets, introduced charges for garden waste and bulky items, and reduced frequency of refuse collections. As a result Brent is dirty with littering and fly-tipping at record levels.

Brent has the highest rate of fly-tipping in the UK, with nearly 35,000 incidents in the period 2022/2023 — and two times as many as in 2016/17 [Defra]. As Liberal Democrats, we like our borough clean and tidy, and say "Enough is Enough" to poor waste management.

Clean Up Brent

We demand the reinstatement of weekly inspection and cleaning of residential streets, and the reintroduction of litter bins. We also call on the Council to increase enforcement as part of a re-education campaign against littering and dumping.

We will keep you up to date by email.
