Continuing our long-standing campaign to clean up Brent

Brent’s streets have become dirtier, routine cleaning has been cut back and fly-tipping has increased, driven in part by high bulky waste charges that allow rogue landlords to dump waste with little consequence.

We call on Brent Council to:

  • Reintroduce regular, scheduled street cleaning on residential roads
  • Use the Keep Britain Tidy grading system to measure cleanliness transparently
  • Take stronger action against fly-tipping, including evening and night enforcement
  • Reduce bulky waste charges that encourage illegal dumping
  • Expand community skips, assisted collections and target CCTV in hotspot areas
